Presenting a 45 minute show full of puppets, magic, balloon modelling, costume dress-.up characters, a bush band and heaps of fun for children and their parents alike. Each show is tinged with a slight dash of educational material, but fundamentally they about about letting your hair down and having FUN, FUN, FUN.
Cheerio opens the show with an old swagman puppet singing G'Day G'Day. As the show unfolds he invites different children and the odd parent and /or teacher, up to help with a few more fun Aussie songs by dressing them as Aussie costume characters (Kangaroo, Koala and Cockatoo). This is followed by a little light-hearted ballooning, slap-stick humour and some magic. Moving right along in this pacey show Cheerio invites more children and parents up to become puppeteers themselves in a mad-cap version of the Vegemite song.
As we roll through some more traditional Aussie songs a Bush Band is slowly created, complete with animal characters and cheargirls and then for a finale, Cheerio introduces the Magic Lolly making Machine, the contents of which are left as a special treat for the kids, to be handed out by the teachers at the appropriate time.
The finale also involves a small segment on the dangerous use of matches and fire where Cheerio passes on some important fire safety messages. This segment has recieved encouragement and congratulations from Fire Authorities in many states.
This show is very interactive and helps build self-esteem in children as well as exposing them to live entertainment. No TV's or video games here, this is all live and what's more, it's all FUN, FUN, FUN.

This photo is of older children, but the story is the same, they all get a chance to join in.
